The existing Wigham Lights cost $150 a year

There will therefore be a saving of about £13 per annum on each buoy, or £39 per annum (as only three buoys are in use at a time). Thus the new apparatus will pay for itself in about 6 years, and will be an economy as well as saving supervision and giving greater efficiency.
